Abstract

Urban stormwater drainage is a non-structural measure that allows flood mitigation in areas with recurring damages. Design of urban stormwater drainage systems with use of a hydraulic simulation model aims to understand current system behavior and propose a drainage system that allows to have eviction capacity in the shortest time possible. Case study corresponds to 5 colonies of Cancun, Quintana Roo, resulting in a stormwater drainage based on sumps pumps.
