Abstract

In order to comply with the objectiveof publishing original articles, as wellas with their function of permanently registering research output, scientific journals must follow editorial standards internationally established. The document describes editorial standards that must be followed in order to produce journals that fulfill the elements necessary to be in condition to reach greater visibility, facilitate analysis, classification and retrieval of information, propitiates y stematization and control of serials, as well as allowing the localization of articles required by users.
