Registros adicionales de murciélagos para Guanajuato

Abstract

An earlier contribution reported the presence of 17 species of bats in the state of Guanajuato (Sánchez y Magaña-Cota, 2008). A recent study of additional museum specimens has revealed the presence of eight species not previously reported for the state, raising the total to 25. Exact localities for these new state records are given, as well as additional localities for several species already reported. A brief analysis of this bat fauna, considering known feeding guilds, indicates that 68% are insectivores, 16% nectar-pollinivores, 12% frugivores, and 4% haematophagous (one species).
