Patogenicidad cruzada de especies de Rhizoctonia asociadas a papa, frijol y maíz en Sinaloa, México

La rhizoctoniasis es una enfermedad de importancia económica en cultivos agrícolas. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la patogenicidad de especies de Rhizoctonia asociadas a la papa, al frijol y al maíz en hospedantes originales e inoculaciones cruzadas. Se recolectaron 24 aislados durante el ciclo otoño-invierno 2021-2022 en el norte de Sinaloa. Análisis morfológicos y moleculares identificaron a Rhizoctonia solani (AG-4 HGI y HGIII) en los tres cultivos, Rhizoctonia binucleada en frijol y Rhizoctonia zeae en maíz. Todos los aislados fueron patogénicos. En la papa, la severidad alcanzó hasta 24.6 cm² de costra negra en tubérculos; en el frijol, la germinación se redujo hasta 0%; en el maíz, el área afectada en la vaina foliar fue de hasta 15.1 cm². R. solani AG-4 HGI fue el grupo más agresivo, presentando diferencias significativas (p > 0.05). Esto evidencia que la rotación entre estos cultivos no es viable para el manejo de la enfermedad.
