Resumen
El aumento del monocultivo y la proximidad de zonas productoras norteamericanas han incrementado la incidencia de plagas y enfermedades en palma datilera (Phoenix dactylifera) en el noroeste de México. Ante esto, el objetivo de este estudio fue identificar molecularmente microorganismos e insectos en frutos de dátil durante poscosecha en Baja California y Sonora, con fines diagnósticos y prospectivos. Se identificaron diferentes especies de Aspergillus (Aspergillus costaricensis y Aspergillus tubingensis) como potenciales promotores de crecimiento. Asimismo, se detectó a Wallemia sebi, un hongo extremófilo asociado al deterioro de frutos secos y con capacidad de generar micotoxinas. Se identificaron molecularmente dos especies de insectos poscosecha de palma datilera (Ectomyelois ceratoniae y Carpophilus hemipterus). Finalmente, se destaca el primer hallazgo de Bemisia tabaci en frutos de dátil, un insecto capaz de propagar peligrosas enfermedades virales en el cultivo. Esta investigación aporta herramientas biológicas clave para diseñar futuras estrategias fitosanitarias efectivas en la región.
