Propiedades psicométricas de la escala SOC-13 en una muestra de diabéticos mexicanos

Resumen

El sentido de coherencia (SOC, por sus siglas en inglés) ha mostrado diversos beneficios en el estado de salud de personas con diabetes. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar las propiedades psicométricas de la versión de 13 ítems de la escala de orientación a la vida en español. Se realizó un estudio de tipo instrumental donde participaron 220 personas diagnosticadas con diabetes tipo 2. La confiabilidad se evaluó por medio del coeficiente omega de McDonalds (0.79) y alfa de Cronbach (0.78); para evaluar la validez de constructo se realizó un análisis factorial confirmatorio. Los resultados indican que se replica la solución de tres factores (RMSEA = 0.08, CFI = 0.91, TLI = 0.90) propuesta por el autor del instrumento, aportando evidencia sobre la escala de orientación a la vida de 13 ítems como un instrumento válido y confiable para ser aplicado en población mexicana con diabetes.
