Abstract

This work presents a general view of the formation and conformation of the human settlements in the current state of Guanajuato. The perspective from which the study was undertaken is the urban- regional. The forms of land appropriation were reconstructed until the establishment of human settlements of greate rrelevance at the arrival of the Spaniards to Mexico in the XVI century. The documentaries sources are the ones produced by archeologists, anthropologists and historians.
