Abstract

In an economic, social, political and sanitary context marked by the emergency of the pandemic caused by COVID19, SME´s are specially affected due to their limited resources, high vulnerability of losses because of social distancing and limiting funding compared to big companies. For the present research, relationships among main problematics in food and beverages enterprises in Mexico were determined, as well as the different contingencies at regional level they are facing. The results show a positive and significative correlation among company contingencies, while there is a notable difference in the problems of each region, emphasizing in the West region compared to the others. The necessity of a multivariate strategy that attends management problems that appear simultaneously in each company and in a differentiated way in each region is evident to the reality of this kind of businesses.
