Abstract

Homotopic continuation is a global convergence numerical method that allows finding solutions to systems of nonlinear algebraic equations; however, it is not widely used as a standardized method due to its apparent complexity. This work presents, in an educational way, the homotopic continuation method with hyperspherical tracking applied in the resolution of nonlinear algebraic equations systems reported in the literature, which are present in various areas of engineering.
