Abstract
Since 1997, the mediation began to be practiced in Mexico. This procedure did not grow simultaneously all around the country, because each state decided how and when to incorporate it. Alternative Justice State Center of Guanajuato, which began operations in 2003, has been one of the most successful institutions that mediation has developed in our country. The objective of this paper is to describe the mediation procedure and the results of the Center from 2007 to 2010. Through the collection of documentary information, the results show that this Center has presented levels of effectiveness and efficiency considerably high, which have placed it as a national reference.
