Abstract
“Opening roads in the university extension, reality and perspective” is an approaching treatmentto the subject and the process of university extension, since we understand its contributionto cultural development and the importance of the integration of their processes -such as,research and academic scientific training. This article is presented through a literature review,because there is no precedent for this kind of studies in the university context of Granmaprovince -which houses the university where the study was developed. Through a comparisonand systematization of the data, the authors achieved a participatory diagnosis outlining themain issues in theoretical aspects and showing concrete actions undertaken in pursuit of thetraining of competent professionals committed to the social tasks of cuban universities. Servethis paper, therefore, as a contribution in order to relocate the subject of university extensionand its function in the development process of the university community.
