Abstract
Influencer activism is a phenomenon presented in recent years as a way to communicate and confront different social and ecological problems. Influencer activists carry out marketing practices such as branding, use of social media with digital marketing strategies, and even collaboration with brands and institutions. This article aims to determine whether the credibility of body-positive influencer activists has an impact on the perception of body acceptance of their followers. The sample for this study consists of 211 people who followed two Instagram accounts from influencers that create content about body acceptance. The results suggest that the variables expectations of citizen behavior, expectations of support for the cause, and attractiveness influence the attitude toward body acceptance.
