Subsistema conyugal y factores psicosociales en la adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con diabetes del Hospital Naval de Especialidades de Veracruz

Resumen
Se busca asociar la disfunción conyugal y la adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM2). El estudio se desarrolló con adultos de ambos sexos mayores a 18 años que acudieron al servicio del Hospital Naval de Especialidades de Veracruz. Se utilizaron cuatro instrumentos: escala de funcionalidad del subsistema conyugal de Chávez Aguilar, el APGAR familiar, la prueba de Morisky-Green y el cuestionario AMAI 2022. Se evaluaron 186 pacientes, predominantemente mujeres (60.2%), de 51 a 60 años (60.8%). La mayoría eran familiares de militares (82.2%), y el 50% de los participantes presentaba obesidad. Solo el 18.8% tenía adherencia al tratamiento, con mayor proporción de hombres (65.7%) que mujeres (34.3%). La disfunción conyugal fue asociada con la falta de adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con DM2 (OR = 25.27, p < 0.001). El tabaquismo y la disfunción conyugal mostraron una asociación positiva con la adherencia (p < 0.001).
