Resumen
El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar las normas sociales que influyen en el aprovechamiento turístico de Bacalar. Esto se realizó por medio de un estudio exploratorio, transversal, con datos cualitativos basados en las técnicas de entrevista y observación. Como resultados, las normas sociales de los prestadores de servicios turísticos (PST) están fundamentadas en acciones concretas para la conservación, vinculadas a las expectativas sociales de los residentes, a la lógica empresarial y a la competencia por el uso del espacio lacustre. Se concluye que existe una transición hacia un aprovechamiento turístico sustentable del atractivo y que los PST tienen expectativas hacia el gobierno local para la conservación de la Laguna y la planificación de actividades turísticas como estrategia para el destino. Los resultados son útiles para diseñar políticas públicas para la conservación de la Laguna de Bacalar.
