Validación de la escala breve de resiliencia en adolescentes y su mediación entre violencia indirecta, TEPT y consumo de sustancias

Resumen

La resiliencia es una característica dinámica de la personalidad que permite la adaptación ante la adversidad. Existe suficiente evidencia científica de su asociación con la salud mental, lo que resalta la importancia de su estudio. La escala breve de resiliencia (EBRA-14) es una de las herramientas más utilizadas a nivel internacional. El objetivo del estudio fue obtener evidencias de validez y precisión de la EBRA-14, así como evaluar su función mediadora entre la exposición a violencia indirecta, los síntomas de estrés postraumático y consumo de sustancias. Se aplicó un cuestionario a 744 estudiantes de nivel medio superior en Guadalajara, Jalisco. Los resultados mostraron adecuados niveles de validez y precisión en los dos factores de la escala con ocho ítems en dos dimensiones, lo que coincide con la versión original. Se confirmó que la resiliencia atenúa el impacto negativo de la exposición a la violencia en el consumo de sustancias.
