Policy of Artificial Intelligence use
Acta Universitaria recognizes the importance of incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into the field of research and dissemination of science. In this sense, the journal adheres to the principles declared on the Recommendation of the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (Unesco, 2021). Therefore, in accordance with these principles, and with the aim of promoting its ethical and transparent use, the following guidelines are set:
- No artificial intelligence system or tool will appear responsible for authorship, nor can they be tagged as coauthoring.
- Authors must state, in the “Acknowledgements” section, whether they have used AI tools (such as Large Language Models, Chatbots, or Image creators) as an aid in the writing of the manuscript or when creating images.
- Authors must declare if they have used AI tools for the development of the analytic work and describe that in the sections Abstract and Materials and methods.
- Authors must guarantee that the data, text, images, and tables obtained through AI do not violate third-party copyrights.
Authors will be the only responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and originality of the content presented in the article.
