Abstract

One of the problems that Mexico faces is the treatment of hazardous materials generated by different industrial processes. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are pollutants of great concern because of their impact on human health and the environment. This paper is a review of PCB´s effects on the environment and human health, and also shows that diverse fungi have been used to reduce their presence in the environment.
