Resumen
La ansiedad es una respuesta natural ante una amenaza percibida o un peligro, que se caracteriza por tensión, preocupación y cambios físicos. Este estudio evaluó la ansiedad en estudiantes de ciencias médicas de primer y último año durante exámenes finales. Se utilizó un diseño transversal en el que se aplicó el inventario de ansiedad de Beck (BAI, por sus siglas en inglés) a 117 estudiantes. Para el análisis de datos se emplearon pruebas de chi-cuadrado y Fisher. Los resultados mostraron que estudiantes de último año presentaron niveles más altos de ansiedad moderada, mientras que los de primer año tuvieron niveles más altos de ansiedad severa. Factores como carga académica y situación económica no mostraron diferencias significativas entre los grupos. La autodeclaración de ansiedad fue mayor en estudiantes de último año, sugiriendo mayor conciencia de su salud mental. Se recomienda apoyo psicológico y estudios longitudinales para explorar su evolución.
